Issuer and Signer of certificates

Any one can request for a certificate from outside for signing.

Adding a new user:

Issuer can control what info to be stored in blockchain from this UI, these fields will be variable by the reviewer. Along the certificate fields, a signer will add his sign.

students or recepients can login with personal account to request the issuer to give them a certificate.

Desining the certificate

This certificate will have a QR-Code to verify.

Certificate can have expiry date.

In future they can, if needed, can connect to Banner, store the verfiable data on block chain for other to verify. They achieved the certificate verification with Aramco with 24 centers.

Verfication

After scanning the qrcode or from verify.kfupm.edu.sa, they will be redirected to this page to see the validity of the signed certificate.

difference between public and private is the type of blockchain , e.g. Ethereum or IBM Hyper Ledger.

transaction id are the references of the certificate on blockchain.

Verification by verfier

  1. Either do verficiation from KFUPM portal or at KFUPM website where verifier can verify the authenticity.
  2. register with doc certificate and do it there using this option Issuer, KFUPM, will have more control who can verify the certificate.
